Summary Seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Part-Time Instructor of Manual Machining or CNC Machining to join our Workforce Continuing Education department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and manufacturing processes and a passion for teaching and guiding students to succeed in their careers. This role focuses on preparing students for certification under the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) standards. Essential Functions Teach 2 evenings per week and/or weekends, following the Workforce Continuing Education course schedule. Develop lesson plans, course materials, and assessments to align with NIMS certification requirements. Ensure a hands-on, engaging learning environment by using appropriate lab equipment and tools. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to help students achieve their learning objectives. Maintain safety standards and proper use of machining equipment in the classroom and lab. Participate in program development, curriculum updates, and assessments in collaboration with the department. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in manual machining, CNC machining, or a related field. Teaching or training experience preferred, but not required. Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to various learning styles. Commitment to student success and ability to foster a supportive learning environment. Flexibility to teach on evenings and/or weekends as required.
