The primary emphasis of the position is to ensure each patient's medical, nutritional, and emotional needs are met. -The nurse will utilize his/her knowledge of growth and development, cultural, religious and ethnic differences in providing appropriate care to the patient as well as in updating an ongoing plan of care for the patient. -Schedule: 36 hours per week; 7a-7p; NO CALLAdditional Job DescriptionEducation:

• Completion of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nursing. -
  
• Completion of IV Therapy Course and/or maintain working in a setting of IV therapy administration.
  Experience: -
  • 
    
  • Minimal of 2-5 years' experience as a licensed nurse.
    
  • Previous hospital experience preferred.
    Licenses/Certificates:
    • 
      
    • Current Practical Nurse license issued by the LLR Board of Nursing for South Carolina or Compact Licensure Agreement.
      
    • Current certification in BLS and to be maintained biannually.

For every 100 additional pounds, assistance will be required from another healthcare worker. 20 lbs. of force is needed to push a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet. 25 lbs. of force is required to push a stretcher with a patient with one hand. Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects, depth perception. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.
