  • Number of ORs: 2 CV ORs
  • Case Types: CABG, VATS, Fistula Creation/Revision, Pleurx, Permcath Insertion, Amputation, Angiogram, Venogram, Endarterectomy
  • Average # of cases performed in a day: 1-3 generally, sometimes 5-6
    • Job Requirements
    • Preferred at least 2 years of experience
    • RN: BLS, ACLS
    • Scrub Tech: BLS, National certification (CST) - NBSTSA required
    • Nursing Assistant: BLS
    • First Assist: BLS, National certification (CSFA) - NBSTSA required
      • Schedule Information
      • Weekend rotation: every other weekend
      • On call: Scrub Tech every other day & every other weekend
      • Shift times: Monday - Friday, 6:30-3p, earlier arrival for CABG
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Skills required: RN able to circulate above cases
        • Scrub Tech able to scrub above cases independently
        • Nursing Assistant general knowledge of the OR
        • First Assist able to assist independently
