*This position is part of the VBA MDE (Veterans Benefits Administration Medical Disabilities Examinations) program.*
* Start date: *ASAP Pending Training & Credentialing*
* Schedule: *Part Time, Monday-Friday*
* C&P exams (Compensation and Pension Exams)
* Gain valuable professional experience and help make a difference in the lives of America's heroes

*Your Daily Responsibilities:*
* Review pertinent medical history documentation and perform one-time, non-treatment vision compensation and pension exams for Veterans
* Capture responses during exam through a web-based examination form; all documentation is completed electronically
* Visual Field Testing may be required and all equipment will be supplied
* Exams are a comprehensive eye exam to evaluate for loss of vision, glaucoma, injury to eye, etc.; no refractive services

*What You'll Need to Qualify for this Role:*
* Must be an actively licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist
* Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, have good interpersonal skills and willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations
* Must possess basic computer skills and be able to complete online documentation
* Compensation exam or VA experience is preferred, but not required
* Current CPR and BLS
* New grads welcome
